We created a canal that brings the ocean water right next to the house, underneath the house, like a natural swimming pool where you can dive in from your veranda and an artificial sandy beach is only a few steps down from the front door of the house. The eastern concrete side of this canal is adjacent to the limit of the plot so it creates a “safe” border between our environment and the other properties. The villa is placed with the long side parallel to the north coast, vertically to the canal, having an enclosed, “protected” landscape around it. Part of the volume is a bridge over the water of the artificial canal.
