4 piers for Thessaloniki
National Architecture Competition entry
location: Thessaloniki, Greece, 2011
area: 4 x 200 m2
project team: Dimos Moysiadis, Xaris Tsitsikas
Linear piers lead the strollers of the seashore at panoramic platforms in the sea. Movement and relaxation, temporary stay and escape are inherent in a design that redefines the relationship of the people with the city limits.
The amphitheatric formations, detached, remote from the built shore are defining new topographies. Regular shapes, small part of a vocabulary, consists a starting point for composition beyond the specified city.
